In my photographs, I primarily focus on the body as a form of expression. I also find inspiration in the interaction of shapes, patterns, and light within both urban and natural environments. I utilize both digital and film photography in my pursuit to capture how artistic forms exist in both nature and the studio environment—and even how these posed interactions can become raw and full of meaning. I seek to portray my connection, as a photographer, to these environments and my subjects, even whilst separated by a lens. I am passionate about experimenting with and selecting the specific camera type (vintage or modern), media, aspect ratio, and film type that will allow me to portray the feeling and message I seek to convey through my art.
